Airline Frequent Traveller Scheme

VRS provides you with a fully integrated Frequent Flyer module so that you can reward your most valuable travellers with incentives to stay loyal to your brand. Supported across the entire VRS platform frequent flyer profiles can be used to tag bookings through the call center, internet booking engine and travel agent interfaces so that rewards are acrued when tickets are used.

Airline management set up air mile value on each route and each different booking class the that points are awarded based on the value of the customer booking. Miles or points are then used to make payment for future bookings from the customers account.

FQTV Accounts - Fully Integrated with Passenger Profiles

The Videcom Frequent Traveller Program is fully integrated with the passenger profile database which allows passengers to create a profile either online or through airline staff. The passenger is given a unique ID which is used as the basis for all FQTV transactions. The data stored for a traveller is shown below:

  • Work Phone
  • Mobile Phone
  • Seat Preference
  • Meal Preference
  • Nationality
  • Traveller Status
  • Remarks

Frequent Flyer (Traveller) Back Office Module

The Frequent Flyer function in VRS is an easy to use system that can be set up to record mileage  awarded to Frequent traveller members. A unique membership identification can be added to passengers bookings to record the Air Mile values for tickets used. the FQTV account is credited when the ticket is uplifted. For each city pair, there will be an associated air mile value. This represents the amount that can be earned by travelling on that flight segment.

Accruing Miles


The primary method of obtaining points with an airlines is by flying with the airline and the number of miles acrrued is usually based on the distance travelled and the class in which the passenger is booked in. A typical ballpark figure on the value of miles is 1 cent per mile travelled based on an economy booking. This may vary from airline to airline and the system allows any value to be added with different values for different cabin classes as well as different booking classes (RBD's).


Redeeming Miles

Members of the FQTV program do no receive any miles until after the flight and the tickets have been lifted (used). At that point the system will automatically credit the account of the member with the value of miles earned from that booking and the passenger can use the miles to pay for further bookings. The members account keeps a running total of miles earned against miles spent and the member can view a report of this account online. To redeem (spend) the miles the member can either log into their account online and make a booking with payment being taken in FQTV miles or an airline staff member can make the booking with the passenger ID contained within it and the system will allow payment from that members account.
